At-Home Craft: Make Your Own Piano

It’s craft time! Join Sarah from the Seattle Symphony’s Education & Community Engagement team as she shows you how to make your own piano.

What you’ll need

Steps to make your instrument

  • Print the piano template
  • Write in the corresponding notes using the template in the video above as a guide
  • Color your piano keyboard
  • Cut out the piano keyboard
  • Play the keys and compose your own music, write secret codes in your music by finding hidden words in the keys! (Need a hint? Try using your keyboard to spell DAD, EGG, and FACE to get started!)

Don’t have the needed materials? No problem! Check out this website where you can color a piano online for free.

Download and print your participation certificate.
