The Rebecca & Jack Benaroya Legacy Circle

Jack and I both felt — without even discussing it — we just knew it was the right thing to do: giving back to the community.” – Rebecca Benaroya

Some acts reverberate forever.

In 1993, Jack and Rebecca Benaroya made a commitment that would change the future of Seattle, the Seattle Symphony, and countless lives in our region and beyond.

The opening of Benaroya Hall transformed downtown Seattle and catapulted Seattle Symphony onto the world stage. Today, the orchestra is grounded in our diverse, innovative community — with global accolades, unforgettable performances, forward-looking new commissions, and deep partnerships with schools and community groups across the Pacific Northwest.

The Rebecca & Jack Benaroya Legacy Circle honors the Benaroyas' extraordinary leadership and impact. and provides an invitation and an opportunity for others to follow their example. From the groundbreaking gift that made the dream of Benaroya Hall a reality, to their faithful presence at performances, to estate gifts whose impacts are yet to be felt, the Benaroyas' story is about the passion, commitment and vision that can define a life — and a legacy that lasts well beyond it.
