Lee Mills is internationally recognized as a passionate, multifaceted and energetic conductor. He has led performances with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra that have been hailed as having a “sonority of unequalled liveliness and quality,” working alongside such artists as Simone Porter, Conrad Tao, Eliane Coelho and the Smetana Trio. His conducting engagements outside of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra include the National Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Christine E. Gero joined Roosevelt High School as the Orchestra Director in 2018, after serving as Newport High School Orchestra Director in Bellevue, WA. Ms. Gero received her B.A. in Music, and her M. A. in Music Education from New York University.
The Roosevelt High School Orchestras from Seattle, Washington are under the direction of Anna Edwards. The Roosevelt Orchestra program includes students from 9th – 12th grade. There are three orchestras with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, and students who thrive on being not only well rounded musicians, but well-rounded in their education and extra-curricular activities.
