Garfield High School Side-by-Side

The Seattle Symphony partners with the Garfield High School Orchestra at Benaroya Hall for a joint performance of Tchaikovsky’s overture based on Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. 2018 Young Artist Phoebe Rawn will perform Hüe's flute fantasy in her Seattle Symphony debut.

Pablo Rus Broseta studied composition and saxophone at the Conservatory of his native Valencia, carrying out further studies in conducting in Lyon, and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Universität der Künste Berlin.

Flute

Phoebe Rawn, a junior at Garfield High School, is a student of Zart Dombourian-Eby. She is a member of the Garfield Orchestra and the Seattle Youth Symphony, and studies at the Seattle Conservatory of Music. Phoebe has performed as a soloist with the Cascade Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Seattle, and played on Classical KING FM as a finalist in their Young Artist Awards and as a winner of the Horsfall Competition. In past summers, Phoebe attended the Interlochen Arts Camp and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
