NatureBridge welcomes Bill Bradley, former U.S. Senator and Dan Evans, former Washington Governor and U.S. Senator, for an inspirational conversation on conservation, bi-partisanship and hope. Bradley co-sponsored the legislation for the removal of the Elwha Dams, passed by congress in 1992. On the eve of the deconstruction project in 2011, he suggested that the Elwha could offer a template for solutions to other environmental issues, and proposed that the great gift of the Elwha is HOPE.
NatureBridge connects students to that hope almost daily through hands-on science and stewardship of the now free-flowing Elwha River. Lynda Mapes, Seattle Times Reporter and author of Elwha: A River Reborn will moderate; the evening will include an introduction by Evans, formal presentation by Bradley, and question-and-answer period with both.
Scholarship tickets available upon request via phone or in person only.
