Maria Männistö has an extensive performing history as a singer, pianist and organist. Her “lovely and pure soprano” (The Seattle Times), impeccable pitch and ability to master difficult works have made Männistö a sought-after performer of new music in the Seattle area. Männistö was awarded the Finlandia Foundation Performer of the Year in 2007. She has performed over 20 solo recitals around the United States, Canada and Finland, and was a finalist in the 2010 Kangasniemi Song Competition in Kangasniemi, Finland. In Seattle, she is the primary organist at the Finnish Lutheran Church.
